Nicole Cates
Managing Director—Crayons Improv
Nicole is a native Tulsan who is currently a Theatre Teacher for Broken Arrow Public Schools. She teaches after school acting classes, as well, for The Brand New Theatre Company. She also is Vice President of Playhouse Theatre Tulsa, a new exciting Theatre Company. She has vast experience in all aspects of theatre and enjoys doing it all, from stage managing, to directing, to writing.
Working with a young cast, she has directed Children’s Theatre. Her directing credits include:

- Cinderella Kids
- Little Women
- the Lilies Bloom
Acting is her first love and that is where she really shines. Nicole Cates has been on stage since she was old enough to walk and talk. Some of her stage credits include:

- One Toe in the Grave
- Private Lives
She holds her Bachelors in Theatre, Speech and Debate Education, with a minor in French, from a prestigious Tulsa school, Oral Roberts University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.
She has recently also branched out into the film world as well and is now a SAG eligible film actress. You can see her in upcoming films:

When not working in or teaching Theatre or on set of a film, Nicole enjoys time with her young daughter and husband. As a cancer survivor, Nicole is also an active supporter of American Cancer Society and the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. Nicole serves as Managing Director and active cast member of Crayons Improv.
